I am back from my travels!!! We did a good show at the brighton Model world, thanks to Malcolm Chambers and a good crew of volunteers, I believe we raised £230, will confirm shortly. Next work party 10th of March, more to follow, when I recover from jet lag....

This will be my last post for two weeks, as I am away on holiday. The society is at Brighton Model world, at the Brighton Centre from the 24th to the 26 th of Feb. Do come along, to meet the boys and to find out more about 53. If you are not a member, or have not been before, it is a great show for any one who enjoys modelling in all it's forms!

Another exciting two days of concrete sleepers. Ok, maybe not exciting, in fact, knackering. Yesterday, John Z, Tony B, and myself moved more sleepers to the site.
In the sub zero weather of today, John Z, myself and Allan M, actually put six concrete sleepers under 53, and jacked them in. Thanks to Allan's brainwave, we used rollers, see picture to move them, in tribute to the ancient Egyptians. Beteewn the three of us we did it. I am about to hit a nice hot bath, well done chaps!
