27th of May
I offer a shot from the big wheel on the sea front of the old tram terminus site in 2012. It was El Presidente's wedding anniversary, and we also went on Volks Railway. If you haven't, go on it, it is the nearest you will get to a tram ride in Brighton, for the moment anyway, until the groups modest £500 million plan for reintroducing a small nine mile system gets the go-ahead.Honest.

19th May
Out at 53 today, with Malcolm Chambers, and Brian Robinson, who travelled up from Fordinbridge in Hampshire! This must be the longest work day drive, how is that for dedication?
We tidied up the lift wood, Malcolm measured up the cab end for replacement struts, and I painted more primer on the cab "B" metals. We then took off the wheels on the front trailer set, and then took of the rear set! That involved some gentle metal cutting by El Presidente, but the set is off.We will need a hand to shift it, it is heavy! A good day's work, and another move forward....
The top photo shows an air compressor under the stairs of a Birmingham tram, 53 had the same in the same place.

Work party, next Sat, the 19th, we still have a place left for the fact finder trip to Crich, end of June/early July, let me know.I am having problems with the blog, it seems to be hard work to load images, so sorry for any delays.

A cold day on Bton seafront.
HCVS Rally.Very cold and damp, joined by Tony and at one point Ian from Portsmouth.Total raised £36.90, was it worth it, perhaps in the sense that more Brightonians know about us....!?
