EGM
An egm has been called for Sunday the 8th of July, at the Brighton Model railway club rooms, at London Road rail station, Ditchling Rise, Brighton.Doors open at 4.15 for tea and biscuits, meeting starting at 5pm. We will be voting on the trust constitution, but we will also be looking at the new agreement with John before I send it off, and on site liability insurance. We are also booked at the Ringmer Steam fair near Lewes on the 28th and 29th of July.So far we have only one member to man the stall, please could we have more volunteers? We are also at Tinkers Park Rail fest on the 4th and 5th of August, and could do with one or two more volunteers there on the Sunday please.
I hope to get out to 225 soon to assess damage.

Vandalism
I am very sorry to report our first case of vandalism.Allan Marriott was over at 53 on the 21st, and one of the windows on 225 had been broken.it has not fallen out, but Allan has weatherproofed it, until a more permanent solution can be found. On a happier note, Allan has dismantled the large brake cylinder, which was full of grease, and says it is reusable.

9th June work party
The three of us worked hard today, and 9 out of the 10 bolts from the front trailer came out. The last one will have to be hack- sawed.Brute strength and the use of a long piece of metal piping meant we could do it! We also measured ,painted ,de-rusted and scraped our hands in the name of trams! John had an interesting pattern on his face from black paint, see photo. Is it Charlie Chan?!
John the farmer popped in and will help tow the trailer bits out, thank you they are heavy. Well done to John and Malcolm, a lot done today.

Tinkers park.
Went out to a traction engine rally, at Tinkers park, Mayfield today. Despite clouds and a little rain, a good time was had with a lot of traction engines, a two foot gauge railway and many vintage cars. There are a lot of wrecks around the place, and I spied a bren gun carrier from WW2,that would be a cool project to do, and a great way to go shopping!
Work party next Saturday, we need to shift those wheels!
