Not a lot to report this week. The new painting of 53 is about to be test printed and will be on sale at Brighton Model world. I have been busy building a new stand for the map of the tram routes and will be rigging up another display for Model World. Allan and Irene Marriott are busy arranging a memorial display for the tram employees lost in World War 1. Allan and Rene also discovered a lot of photographs in the Brighton records office, including one of 53 when she was just finished, with the Manager in front of her!!! I hope the weather will ease up so we can get that roof finished

Three of us out at 53 today, too wet to do finish the shed, so we removed two platform steels, a door brace and cleaned up the area. new member Tony did some sterling work and Allan displayed his skill by overcoming various stubborn bolts and rust!

First time I am out at 53 this year. Allan was already on site and we were both preparing for the work day next Saturday. Allan was examining the framing and the wood on the side, as well as the steel framing, to see if was usable and I did some more de-rusting, painting and tidying.

Hope you all had a good Xmas and now it is 2014! Next work date is the 18th of Jan, I might be out there this Saturday if time.
