Seaford show 26/27th of October.
Ok first day, but a typical quiet Sunday, show takings were only about £80. The show cost £35, not sure if it has gone up.The Croydon club had a superb tram link layout, good to see the modern trams being used. Malcolm has bought a lot of die cast which should sell at shows and we received a very kind donation of books yesterday, so stock levels good! I think some one is going out to check the shed tomorrow, here's hoping.....

25th of October.
Only a quick visit by three of us today. Wood, so we couldn't paint and we just secured the site for the possible gales. Not impressed with Jewson's plywood, seems to warp easily and no bl**dy discount either! Hope to see you at the Seaford Model rail show over the weekend.

24th of October.
More work today with the threat of gale force winds next week and lots of rain. We did well, but have we done enough if the bad weather hits, it is the side panels so ably put up by Brian that are at risk, I will try to get out tomorrow, depending on rain, can any else help? Hope to see you at the Newhaven Model rail show this weekend...

23rd of October.
Phase one of Operation shed commenced in wet and windy weather. It got better over the day and by the time we left it was a lovely afternoon. It was El Presidente's birthday and we were awash with cakes and biscuits, Allan even hung up a sign and bought me a birthday cake! |Good work was done, the pictures tell the story, out there again tomorrow, thank you gents!

12th of October
Much to my surprise I found I was not the first visitor on site today, Darren had arrived with more strong cases and was tidying up the side of the shed.He did a great job and I spent my time painting a second coat on more steels, adding primer and doing some more rust proofing. The final section of wood came of the last bulkhead, more work for Malcolm! I also put down more mesh on the site of the truck and where the motors will go in an attempt to control the jungle. The black cat who secretly owns 53 and probably most of the area, moved back on to 53 when I left, having waited for me to finish, typical cat!

5th of October.
I am sorry to announce that we drew a blank from Prism due to not being registered with the Charity Commission and that they had no money left in the kitty. Brian will apply to the commission and re-try Prism in Feb/March 2014, this is just a small trial and we won't be put off. Our grants man is also applying to another possible source, we will let you know..I will be out at 53 next Saturday the 12th, anyone joining me?
